Based on the U.S. military's DEFCON levels, the ASCON Scale was created to give a consistent measurement of the levels of assholery across scenarios. Like the DEFCON levels, 1 is the worst, and 4 is the least severe level.

It was created by TikTok and YouTube storyteller Dusty Thunder in 2022, and the ASCON Scale has since become a useful tool to many people as they seek to identify levels of assholery in their daily encounters.

The Asconaut is the traveler of the ASCON universe, and he’s seen some shit, but that doesn’t stop him from reporting for duty, every damn day, and exposing assholes (and sometimes his own ass) everywhere.
