National Medal of Honor Day 2025

National Medal of Honor Day 2025 - Nine Line Apparel

On March 25th, we honor the brave recipients of the Medal of Honor. It is the United States' highest award for military valor in action and was first awarded in 1863. Of the 41 million who have served in the U.S. military, the Medal has been presented to only 3,528 service members who have shown gallantry and intrepidity, at the risk of their lives, above and beyond the call of duty. Today, there are only 61 living recipients of the Medal of Honor, each representing exceptional courage and sacrifice.

On this day each year, we take the time to remember the stories of these warriors and the insurmountable odds they overcame. They wear the weight of the medal for themselves and for those they fought with on the battlefield, for those that came home and those that could not. Whether they hailed from farms  in small towns or from our bustling cities, they all showed the courage and strength to fight for our country and their brothers in arms, even when survival seemed impossible.

We salute these brave Americans and are forever grateful for their service.
